Description of Event: Prosper Magazine's Publisher Clare Thain will talk about "Navigating the ‘Choppy’ Waters of a Start-Up."  Prosper Magazine, the Sacramento region’s Business Magazine, started publishing last year and is now completing its first year of operation. Like most start-ups, it hasn’t been easy. In an informal discussion, Clare Thain, Publisher of the magazine will discuss challenges faced by all start-ups and some specific examples of the hurdles that Prosper has had to overcome. Thain, a 30 year veteran of the advertising and publishing industries will also comment on future issues facing these industries as well as his outlook on the region’s economy.
