The Business
Chapter is
organized as a special interest chapter under the Sacramento State
Alumni Association and is comprised of alumni and friends of the
university. Our chapter welcomes everyone, alumni and non-alumni (friends).
Mission

A
network of business professionals working together to support the
continued improvement of the Alumni Association, the College of
Business and Sacramento State; to promote individual member
achievement and career advancement; and to make a positive impact
in the communities where our members work and live.

Welcome
to the Business Chapter of
the Sacramento State Alumni Association! Our
chapter is open to everyone, both alumni and non-alumni, and I believe that the business chapter has something for
everyone. Since I became president of the chapter, my mission has
been to make the business alumni chapter a premiere business organization.
I plan
to accomplish this goal
through adding value to each individual member by creating
opportunities for the members to connect with each other,
opportunities to help with career advancement / business
development, and opportunities to give back to the university
and the community. If

Business
Pathway to Success - Annual event co-sponsored by the
College of Business and the Business Alumni Chapter.
Purpose of the event is to connect working professionals with
students so the students have an opportunity to talk with a
professional in the career path that they are studying in
college.
Business
Speaker Series - An event featuring speakers that
discuss economic/business topics of interest to our
membership. Past speakers include the publisher of Prosper
Magazine and the editor of the Sacramento Business Journal.
Mentor Process
- An opportunity for business professionals to mentor Sacramento
State business students on an on-going basis.
Speed
Networking Event - An event designed to help our members
and associates connect with each other to increase network for
career advancement and business development.
Dictionary
Project - An event where
we visit schools, talk with 3rd graders about the importance of
college and provide a dictionary for each student.
