Matt
started his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis in February of
1997 as the Research Database Coordinator where he gained a wealth of
market knowledge and real estate market statistics. When asked how he
made the leap into commercial real estate he explained that his brother
is in real estate and that he had always seen it as a project oriented
job. He said, “I like multitasking and working different types
of deals every day. I knew you could have more freedom to make
what you want of yourself in this line of work.”
Matt
now has eight years of experience with Grubb and Ellis specializing in
selling and leasing industrial properties.
In 2004, he was the top producer in the Sacramento office and has
achieved over $60 million in total transaction value within the last
three years.
Prior
to Grubb & Ellis, Matt worked at the Sleep Train for six years.
He acquired his Bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State in
Business with a concentration in Management.
His
professional
recognitions and affiliations include the Association of Commercial Real
Estate (ACRE), the College of Business Advisory Council – Sacramento
State, the Board of Directors for Sierra Family Services, and the
Advisory Board for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
Matt is also the immediate past President of the College of
Business Alumni Association, Sacramento State.
His
hobbies include water and snow skiing, golf (though he acknowledges that
he is not any good at it) and spending time with family.
His goals are to continue doing brokerage and to buy and develop
commercial properties.
